The logic in this novel has been manipulated , giving it a lasting popularity for children and adults alike. It is considered as one of the best examples of literary nonsense.

The narrative, structure and characters in the novel were very influential in both popular culture and literature, especially in the field of fiction. The novel was translated into at least 174 languages, including Arabic and Japanese. Several works based on Alice in Wonderland have been published since the publication of the novel, the number of these works has been doubled after publishing the novel in almost all countries .

Alice's novel was published in 1865, three years after a journey with rowing boat by” Louis Carroll and Rev. Robinson Duckworth” on July 4, 1862 with the three daughters of Henry Liddell (vice president of Oxford University and dean of the Church of Christ): "Lorena Charlotte Liddell" 13 years old , Alice Liddell Pleasant at the age of 10, and Edith Mary Liddell at the age of 8.

During the trip, Lewis Carroll tells the girls a story about a bored little girl named Alice who goes looking for an adventure. The girls loved it, and Alice asked Liddell Dodgson to write it as a story for her. He started writing the story script the next day, although this version no longer exists. The girls and Dodgson took another boat trip a month later, he put the Alice's story plot , and in November he began to work on the manuscript seriously.

To add the finishing touches, he searched the natural history of the animals which were mentioned in the novel, and then introduced the novel to a group of children, especially the children of George MacDonald. He added illustrations to it. But he specially approached to “John Tinell” to prepare the book for publication, telling him that the novel ‘s story  had been admired by the children.

On November 26, 1864, Alice was given a handwritten manuscript of Alice's Adventures Under Ground, with his own drawings, and presented it as "a Christmas present for a dear child on the anniversary of a summer day."
But before Alice received the copy, Lewis had already prepared it for publication and expanded the original story from 15,000 words to 27,000 words, especially the recently added parts about” Cat Cheshire” and “The Mad Tea Party “.
