The Most Hundred Common English Words


According to the Guinness Book of the world Records, the simple public English citizen uses only the first 500 common words to cover his daily needs. The first 500 words are enough to cover 70% of any language. A study done at Oxford University found that the first Twenty five words make up one third of the words used in English and the first 100 words make up about half of the English words. So the author, Fahd Awad Al Harthy, collected these words in his book “The Most Hundred Common English Words"  by referring to the “Exford word power” dictionary and putting these words into daily life commonly used questions. These questions include words from the 500 most common ones that have been attached to it. WE hope that this book makes a difference and enrich your knowledge.

● Question: at what time did you see him?
Pronunciation: آت وَت تايم دِد يو سِي هِم .
