For this reason we do not always show the front cover of a book's jacket, but sometimes part or all of an illustration from the book. The Horn Book Magazine (1924-the present) is devoted to contemporary children's literature. It regularly receives review copies of books about to be published. Books in this catalogue which indicate "Horn Book Stamp" are from this collection. They are each one of a kind, because only there is only one copy of a particular title with this stamp.
